Vanilla for extraction is a specific type of vanilla used as a raw material in the production of liquid vanilla extract. These pods are usually recognizable by their reddish color, a hue acquired following a sun-drying process that also intensifies their characteristic aroma. As the pods dry, their moisture content decreases, which has the effect of increasing the concentration of vanillin, the element that gives vanilla its distinct aroma and flavor. Therefore, vanilla for extraction has a higher concentration of vanillin than black vanilla pods.

There are two categories of vanilla for extraction according to their moisture content: those with 20% moisture and those with 25%. The driest and most rigid pods, with a moisture content of 20%, are generally preferred by the American market, while the softer pods, with a moisture content of 25%, are more intended for the European market.

In our preparation center located in Sambava, we meticulously select the pods according to their vanillin content and organoleptic properties, thus ensuring optimal drying. We ensure that only the highest quality pods, compliant with international standards, are sorted and selected for our customers.

In addition, we also offer premium ground vanilla, called "premium pure vanilla powder". This high-end product is exported in bulk and is mainly aimed at manufacturers wishing to integrate a superior quality ingredient into their manufacturing processes.
